"Be what you would seem to be" -- or if you'd like it put more simply -- "Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."

"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll

Renegade Craft Fair ~ September 20, 2003
It turned out to be a real family group effort, as Hoa kicked total arse and knocked out a LOAD of gorgeous garments and pillows well beyond the arsenal of goodies we already had on hand, while my dad (Trien) and hubby (David) helped us set up shop in no time flat Satruday morning. Lizzie, my younger sister, stopped by to help price items, do a bit of merchandising, and then do a bit of shopping. We all really enjoyed the whole experience and met so many really, really nice people. We were parked next to Gerbera Designs, Happy Lucky Me, and a collective of really talented people from Montreal (no web "shop,"  just a really creative group of gals). We topped off the night with a full tummy courtesy of Uptown's Thai Binh and warm fuzzies for a very nice day indeed.

booth #56!
a few shoppers we remembered to photograph....
All of our shoppers were great. Super friendly, very complimentary. Unfortunately, we got a little busy at some points in the day to remember to photograph everyone that graced us with a visit (and the camera, it turns out, was low on juice; we even lost a few pictures we did take.
our very first buyer! she snagged this great fall hadbag Hoa crafted up just as we were beginning to price our goodies!
we completely forgot to bring a full-length mirror, so we thought it would be clever to use the digicam as a sub. this lady didn't buy this great robe, but later in the day, someone else did!
this shopper was kind enough to demo an additional way to use our corsage jewelry ~ as a hair band!
BIG thanks to all who came by to chat, see our goodies, and sign up for a newsletter. It was lovely to meet you all!
